My On30 Railroad

These are just buildings sitting around to be incorporated into the layout when I get to them. I’ll post more later and the G Scale road behind the water tower will be moved and go a different direction so it won’t go through what is now an On30 area.

On30 Town (nothing is in place yet…just setting there)

D&RGW with Water tank and Painted backdrop on wall.  O scale buildings will go in the foreground and HO scale buildings will do nicely farther back and higher up.  I want to think of it as Malcolm Furlow (my favorite model railroad builder) put it: “Vertical Scenery”.

The sign on the scratch-built water tower says: “No Trespassing”.   The module was scratch-built and named: “G String Junction” (think Petticoat Junction) from the old TV series and won first place in a scratch-building contest.  I purchased it later and have since been offered double or more than what I bought it for.  I plan to use it for part of “Hooksie Switch”, a railroad switching community where my Dad was born in 1903. The miners below are part of the same module.

D&RGW Bumble Bee Rio Grande…I want to put a lens shade over the headlight.   Engine House in back

These are all just sitting where they MIGHT go later
